My name is Siv Wadlin and my specialty is Scandinavian travel. I was born and raised in Vasterås, Sweden, a town approximately 100 kilometers west of the capital of Stockholm.

All my life, I have loved to travel, a trait, I suspect, that is bred in the bone. The Vikings are a restless people, having plied the northern seas since the 8th Century A. D., when they began their dramatic expansion south and east across Europe, and westward to the Americas.

As a child growing up in Sweden, their Sagas fueled my youthful imagination and gave me an unrelenting curiosity to see the world. My first adventures were to Norway with my grandparents. Then, at age sixteen, I went to live with a family in Paris as an exchange student. Finally, like the Vikings, I came to the New World. Today I live and work in New York, but I still call Scandinavia my home.

No one knows—or loves!—Scandinavia more than I. And nothing pleases me more than to share its beauty with others.
